Online lens sales When I see a $450 lens for sale through online store for $330-$350, is there any skepticism that I should be worried about?

Just like anything you would buy on the internet, if it is not a reputable store, or someone you trust (from previous sales), research them. Very often, when a deal is too good to be true, it probably is.

I agree with David if you are comparing prices at online stores. If, however, you are comparing the prices at a local retail store to, say, B&H, then B&H will beat them everytime. They buy in larger volumes, pay less, and sell for less. If this is the case, I wouldn't worry, at least about B&H or Adorama. Heard good stuff about KEH. Others, I can't say.

Mary, Ditto to what my friends David and Kerry said (i think of everyone here at BP my friend). I just placed an order this morning for the Nikon D70 camera. I first went to B&H and Adorama as I trust these sites. Then I checked the camera at Amazon.Com. amazon offered the camera from Adorama at about $60 less than from Adorama direct. Plus there's a manufacturer's rebate regardless of where you buy. Amazon gives some assurance of trust for the sites that market through them. I know this doesn't directly answer your lens question, but "YES" skepticism is in order.
