Photography Question

I am wondering where I can go to get some color put in a b & w picture. I loove the effect and would love to have it done to some of my pictures. Is it expensive and can you only get it done professionally? Also, I was wondering, do you need a tripod to shoot 160 speed film? I am reading some questions here and they are making me nervous.

Jessica,

do you mean spot coloring or selective coloring?

Where for instance the entire photo is in B&W and maybe a flower is in color?

if so, that's pretty easy and you can do it in photoshop or some other similar program.
