Fire Photos and Update

Hi everybody. We have evacuated the horses to a more smoke free environment. Good thing, the smoke rolled back on us today. I'm going to try to upload the photos to the discussion, but I don't know if I can get them here from my gallery, if not you can see them in my gallery.

We might have to evacuate today. Signs aren't good at the moment.

Thanks for all the prayers! We'll keep you updated.

Karma

Hubby just got an update. We are number one priorty fire in the nation right now. The fire is headed straight for us. Doesn't look good. All air support is diverted to this fire because so many homes are threatened. I've been feeling fairly safe until now. I think there is maybe a chance we might lose our home. I'm getting much more upset now.

Thanks

Karma

I will definitely be praying that the Lord watch over you and your family.
Those pictures really bring out emotion in the reality of the whole situation.

Karma- you must be talking about the School fire?? I am in North Idaho as well- although I'm further north (close to Spokane, WA) than that area.

I hope that your house stays in the clear! Maybe the rain will help??

Your pictures offer a perspective so many of us are lucky not to have to see that close. But they are great shots! Thanks for sharing.

No, this is the blackerby fire. It's not nearly as big as school, but it was number one priority in the nation for awhile because it was threatening so many homes. Danger is much lower now though thank goodness!

My parents just went through this in Utah. They were evacuated as the fire devoured the hill, so I feel for you. I hope that it all is well soon. Wonderful captures!

Oh Karma!! I am so praying for you!! A few years back my husband and I were mountain biking in Colorado and we got caught in a forest fire. It was the most scariest thing I think that I have ever experianced! I still remember the smoke flying through the trees and trying to peddle out of sure fear! I remember helicopters tracking us and following us throught the path. When we got to the end of the trail they had an ambulance waiting for us to speed us out of there. Within two hours the entire place we were at was completely devoured. I now still feel a little clausterphobic in the hills!! :o) I know what you are feeling the fires are just so out of peoples control and are not very predictive! I wish the best for you and your belongings!!
