Going on Safari and need zoom lens I recently purchased a new Nikon D50 SLR since I am headed to Africa on Safari and would like to buy a zoom lens but not really sure how strong of a lens I will need - any suggestions? Thanks for your help

Hi Steve, I just came back from Masaai Mara in Kenya and I used a 70-300 zoom (based on the recommendation of Jim Zuckerman. I was able to shoot in very close. You get a lot closer than is sometimes comfortable (at least for me!).
