Photography Question

Brenda K. Smith

Did my tweaking help?

I took your advice on the peppers and I was able to tone down the brightness but removing the edge of the shelf gives it a feel of free floating peppers????

On the St. Stephan's I think it really improved it, it really draws the eye up and in awe.

I also posted a few new ones on my gallery that I would value feedback on.

Thanks
Brenda

We added the new Judges Comments feature in response to a desire for comments by our members. Our motive is simply to give you some feedback, so the contest is not such a mystery. With so many entries each month, it's impossible for our judging team to make comments on each image. However, when something catches a judge's eye, a quick critique may be offered. This will be a sentence or two that lets you know what the judge liked best about the image - or how a photo could have been improved. At this time we do not offer individual critiques, but we are considering this for the future. You can start a discussion on your photo by clicking the "Discuss this photo" link under the photo. There are Image Upload links located near the bottom of the main Galleries page and the Contest page. Good luck and have fun!

I like the new look for both pictures. I don't get the feeling that the peppers are free-floating. There is still a hook showing so the viewer can tell they are hanging, just can't tell from what they are hanging. The edge of the shelf added nothing to the photo. I always liked St. Stevens. You helped it by removing things that were distracting.
