One time use of a photo for a promotion event I had a request to use a print of mine for a pin to be made to give to the school teachers next year. This person will make over 500 pins using my photo as the design on it. I was wondering what I should charge. I'd like to keep the rights in case they used it again. Diane Thomas

Above this thread, in the Search Q&A, type in "What Should I Charge?" or something like that. You'll get a TON of results. So just read through some of these and it should help. Let us know if it doesn't.

Thanks, to all for your time. I have decided after talking to another fellow BetterPhoto photographer what to do. Diane Thomas

This is unbelievable, but this is the second time today that I agree with NAME CHANGER. That is the advice I gave her in a PM. First, whoever is actually providing these pins is not doing it for profit. They are giving it to the teachers so any additional cost is just that - additional cost. It won't be recouped in any way. I suggested she dontate the picture since it was something already in her portfolio, with the assurance that she would get her name and copyright on the back of the pin. She donates something that, in effect, cost her nothing since she had already done it, and she gets over 500 pieces of free advertising. Name-Changer, we have got to stop agreeing like this!
