Photography Question

Beginner's Luck?

I am brand new to the world and am trying to get the best and most affordable digital equipment to post quality pictures on my website. The pictures I will shoot are going to indoors and outdoors and will require some lighting. I am looking for some advice on how to get started with this project and how much money should be enough to spend? Thank you for this forum and all your help.

R.M.

WELL, THAT WOULD DEPEND ON WHAT TYPES OF EQUIPTMENT IF ANY YOU HAVE AT THIS TIME? WHAT ARE YOU SHOOTING? AND WILL THIS BE SOMETHING ON GOING OR JUST FOR THIS PROJECT?
IF YOU HAVE A INTREST IN PHOTOGRAPHY AND HAVE NOT YET INVESTED IN ANY EQUIPTMENT THEN THERE ARE SOOO MANY THREADS HERE THAT YOU CAN READ ON "WITCH SLR TO BUY" PICK THROUGH THE COMMENTS AND GO WITH WHAT YOU BELIVE WILL BEST SUIT YOUR NEEDS.
BUT FOR NOW, I BELIVE WE WILL NEED MORE INFORMATION.
AND I'M SURE YOU WILL FIND A LOT OF WONDERFUL HELP.
THANK YOU,
DEBBY

If you shoot indoors and outdoors, whats left. I got to tell you I cracked up about that one for a good hour.

good DSLR 1500
lenses 1000
chip 1gig 100

so, about $2,600 (may I suggest the 20D) the best cheap end camera

Well, I see you have a new name again. Anyway, I am glad you had a good laugh. As you can see, I am the butt of a lot of jokes but, hey, I can't complain. After all, I started most of them. I agree that the 20D is a good choice (for a digital LOL) but it is a bit too expensive for most folks.

  Why do you do this?
Sybil, New comers don't reilize that you are just sick with a uncurable need for attention.
if you insitst on playing games with your name and your bragging then do so,
but please- don't make a game out of others questions- they don't need that-and besides you have gotten attention from us when you post a question.
or Kerry, catch me up-is Sunny ,Ryan also??
It truly is getting old!

Name Changer is currently posting under Sunny only, to the best of my knowledge. He hasn't used his other account in a few days - probably will now. I just ignore him when he acts like he is now. When he is reasonable, I talk with him.

Hello Sunny, welcome to the world of Earthly experiences such as Natural Lighting and Computer programing. As you have observed by Ryan's opening sentence, it could well be possible that there are two of you that are new to this world. One is in a well defined catagory (amateur) and the other is quite literal, just landed.

This makes it difficult for any professional to offer advice. First,it becomes necessary to differenciate the input and compute the proper, if not expected, reply.

I feel that Ryan's question is very legitimate, we all have asked this upon our journey toward the realizition of our dreams. However, on the other hand,,,it does seems that some, perhaps you, have attained their dreams and are now crash landed in the world of photography where you feel superior,,,,,WRONG !!.

Rest assured we will pick you up and remove you from the debris of your own making, however, we will not feed you forever. At some point, we expect you to walk on your own two feet, in a straight and determined line, and figure out your own destiny without intefering like a child.

Hope you get well soon

Regards
Gary

The world of adults is welcoming you, your experiences, and your wisdom. Don't belittle yourself,,,it's just plain stupid. Are you?

Regards
Gary

why, what - you don't like pudding.
Pudding is what the client buys, the finished product. Ive had some pictures on the computer and didn't like it entirely, so I asked the lab to fix it up a little. When I got the pics back they were great and the lab said they didn't even touch them up. They told me what you see on your screen isn't exactly what prints. There are programs for this, but very expensive
