Can You Save Pics Back from Your Camera? I have a Nikon D70 and was wondering if after you do some work to them in a digital enhancement program on the computer, can you save them back to the camera's compact flash card? I do not have a good enough computer to print off the copies. I would like to save my work back to the camera & take the card into the printers and have them print them off for me? I don't have any way to burn a CD on my computer either ... is this even possible to do? Thank you very much for your help with this. My son is working on some projects for county fair, and we need to get them printed soon.

If you have a card reader that plugs into a USB port on your computer, then this can be done easily. You can just copy the fixed image to the card in Windows Explorer or My Computer. If you are just using the camera and a cable to connect to the computer, then it may be harder or impossible. I don't have the Nikon, so I don't know how it sets up. When you plug the camera into the computer, does My Computer show the camera as a drive letter? If so, then you can just copy the file to the card as I stated above. If the camera does not show up as a drive letter, then you need to look closely at the software that you use to transfer the images from the camera, and see if it has the capability of transferring images back to the camera.

Thank you Chris! I will look & see if the camera shows up as a drive. I use a cable plugged into the USB port on my laptop. I should get a card reader! Angie

I have a D100 (father of the D70). I have not been able to save the edited pics back to the card with the Nikon Software, but have no problem with the Jumpshot or the Sandisk readers. Just copy the pic file as though it was a regular computer file. I have used the CF cards to print small quantity runs a few times. P.S. Make sure the file type is compatible with the photo lab capabilities (usually JPEG or TIFF files)
