Entering firework shots in contest Which catagory would be best to enter fireworks pictures in?

"Special Effects" for long exposure and light and spark explosions and trailing? Or, "Travel & Place" for showing a some sort of landmark in the background? Actually, it would have been good if the monthly theme had something to do with July activities as the last year...

I wish they had chosen it for the theme. Would've been cool. I just don't think my photographs fall under special or travel. I wish there was a catch-all catagory for things that just don't quite fit anywhere. If the judges are about maybe they could give us their insight.

I would go with "Elements of Design"....."for photos that showcase line, shape, pattern, form, texture, perspective, etc." Bob

Thanks Bob, I was really leaning toward nature and landscape. There are no identifiable landmarks for the "travel and place" and most of my shots do show a landscape. I am still at a loss where I want to enter them. I am especially thinking of my photograph "The Grand Finale".
