SIGMA 105 VS TAMRON 90 I HAVE A PENTAX ISDS AND I AM HAVING TROUBLE FINDING THE SIGMA 150 MACRO SO I AM WONDERING ABOUT THE SIGMA 105 OR THE TAMRON 90 MACRO. I NEED IMPUT. IS THERE SOMEONE WHO HAS COMPARED THEM ?

This question was originally asked about a year ago. I'm wondering if anybody has an update or opinion. I am able to find individual reviews, but no direct comparison. The sigma is a little cheaper and overall, seems to be rated about the same.

Percy: I have tested both. Both are very good lenses. However, for nature photography, I would always buy the longer Macro lens. With a short macro lens, you need to get very! close to the subject. And you may cast a shadow on it, scare off an insect, etc. All the best, Peter Burian
