graphics tablet use in photoshop

Hi - I just got an Intuos graphics tablet. One use I was looking forward to was better control when using some oe the Photoshop tools, like the lassos and clone stamp. But when using the clone stamp I am having trouble with it picking up the wrong colors/areas to clone. If you do it with a mouse, the placement of the cross hairs it uses to pick up an area changes each time you choose (sommetimes above where you next pout your cursor, sometimes below, etc.) but now that I am using the pen, it always picks up from below and to the right about 1.5 inches or so, and I often cannot get the 'clone' I want. Does anyone know if there is a way around this? e.g. some way to cutomize the clone stamp for the pen? I am using PS elements 2.0 (just got 3.0, have not used it yet).

clone stamp has options of align that makes the source spot move as you move the cursor, and non-align that keeps the source spot at the same place. sounds like you're on align with the tablet. The options window should have should have the thing to change from non-align to align.
