Photography Question

Art Shows

I have been to a few art shows lately just to see what people are selling and for how much, etc. I notice that the prints that are not framed have been matted and are wrapped in some sort of heavy cellophane. Just wondering where that cellophane can be purchased? Also wondering if any of you do shows and what size prints seem to be the most popular?

I am an art show photographer. The "bags" to which you refer are probably the Crystal Clear bags, and are available online from Impact Images. Sorry, I don't have their website or 800 phone number in front of me. If you can't find them online, email me, and I can provide you with their contact information at home.
Their bags come in a gazillion different sizes. They each have a flap on the back. You insert your print, matted or not, peal off the strip, fold over the flap and seal. They are wonderful.
Downside - They only come in packages of 100, and Impact Images has a minimum order of around $50, or they really sock it to you with S&H.

I forgot to mention that these bags are slightly oversized to allow for mats and mountboards. And just to clarify, these are the bags that we use to display our unframed work in browsing bins.

Sorry if this posts twice... my computer got stuck at one point and I don't think it worked the first time so here it is again.

I have gotten my bags from www.clearbags.com. They come in packages of 100 but there is no minimum order. However, the shipping is a little higher on smaller orders, but not bad.

They also offer other things like boxes and envelopes. They have quite a selection. Check them out.

Question for Michael. What size prints do you sell the most of and do you sell many framed prints? Also do you sell note cards. I seem to be selling more note cards. Of course they are cheaper as well. How is the gas prices affecting your sales. I only started the art & craft fairs last year and am concerned about sales this year because of the gas prices. Thanks, Kathy in NH
