Why can't I see some titles? Some of the titles aren't showing up, but they have been viewed and replied to. just curious!?

Or maybe they are just untitled? I thot in the past that you had to put a title. I entered a photo the other day that I didn't want to title and it was accepted...might be something new... Bob

So, today I enter a photo in the contest without a title and up pops the "use a title, silly!" box.....beats me...:-) Bob

I emailed BP powers that be yesterday on that issue. I had three comments on my photo, I left a reply, then not only did my link disappear so no one else could comment, but my title also disappeared in the mean time! I tried everything I could think of and was able the get the title on it again, but the link was still gone. I noticed that there were several others in the discussion line up that had the same problem. I haven't received a reply yet, but will post an answer (hopefully) in this thread when I get one. It's probably the same problem as one comment posting several times on the same photo, just a glitch on the server with so much activity on the site at once.

Laura, you're response is helping me figure out this bug. Can you please point me to those three photos? At first, I was thinking that the photos might simply be untitled. Although the box pops up saying "use a title", not all Web browsers show this box. So some people might slip past without a title. But now your response signals a bug in the system. Let me know which photos and which pages (the actual http://... URLs) that you used to reply with your comments. Thanks!

Hi, Jim! I will track down the photo numbers. I got a reply from Heather saying it was probably Norton and to try disabling ad blocking, but I don't see the connection between that and a few of the photos. My photo is #961497 I have since unchecked "display" and re-loaded the photo, copied all of the comments and entered it into the contest as a new number, because that one never re-appeared in the discussion thread. I'll look up the other folks' photos and get them to you asap! Thanks so much!

I just looked up my photo in the "friendly praise" thread. It is currently on page 65 and the url is http://www.betterphoto.com/DiscCat.php?catID=102&pageID=65&rows=25 Where the title normally is (and wasn't on Saturday) now has a link to the photo which says "Photo Discussion" rather than the title. I haven't found the others yet, as I was looking for the missing links, but maybe they also now say "Photo Discussion"? I'll keep hunting! :)

Yesterday, I added the code so that it would at least say "Photo Discusion" if there was no title to the discussion. Just to be clear, did the photo title go away too? Did you add the "W" back later yourself?

YEP! Here's another one: http://www.betterphoto.com/forms/Discussiondetail.php?threadID=265248 I can't find the third that I saw on Saturday. Perhaps they deleted their post and re-loaded? It was right around the same couple of pages at the time. I did notice that the last couple of people who commented on my photo were able to do so directly from my gallery even thought the link in the discussion thread was gone, and it kept reappearing in the thread, but without the link. HHOPE ALL THAT HELPS!! If I can try to provide any more info, please let me know! ALSO: I've noticed that since Saturday, when I click on an e-mail notification link to someone's photo, it doesn't display the most recent comments. You (I) need to refresh the page for their photo discussion to make the recent ones appear. Is this me or the site?? (probably a new problem...sorry!!!)
