Photography Question

Benica Walsh

Emotional Response

First, thanks Kerby for that wonderful thread on "What's Your Favorite Photo". This is a piggyback off of that question.

Ok, here it is: Can you name at least one photograph that you have seen on this website that has elicited an emotional response from you? What was it about the picture that created that stirring (as I will call it)?

I know I said name one. But, I'm thinking the challenge is to name ONLY one. There is such phenomenal talent on this website, I feel a little awkward displaying my humble work. At the same time I am also inspired to take my photography to highter levels.

While there are many stunning photographs on this website, here are some that touched something deep within me personally:

Robert Burk's "stormbreak":

Something about the tonality and contrast of the clouds, the sky and the fire (i.e. sun) IN the sky. Just about anything having to do with the heavenlies does that to me.

Theresa Jones' "Pink Twirl":

Flowers are one of God's many works of art. Her picture beautifully illustrates this. The color, texture, tone all come together exquisitely.

Charles Inglefield's "Dusk":

It won Betterphoto's grand prize. Need I say more?

Terry Cervi's "Yellows"

Gorgeous texture. And yellow is such an uplifting color...

I feel bad naming just these, but the website administrator's would surely admonish me for flooding the Q&A discussion board if I named all of the photographys that compelled me to view them again...and again...and again....

I look forward to your shares.

Excuse the typos. I do know how to spell...really, I do.

When I wrote highter, I meant higher. When I wrote photographys, I meant photographs.
