How do to shoot good wedding portraits I am taking the photos for a friends wedding in August, I just bought a Canon Digital Rebel Xt to use with my manual Canon F-1, I would primarily like to use the Rebel but I have little experience with digital photos and am worried about ruining the pictures, If any one has any tips they would be appreciated.

I WENT TO DIGITAL AFTER 28 YEARS WITH FILM-I WOULD HAVE TOLD YOU TWO YEARS AGE "I'LL NEVER GO DIGITAL" BUT, THINGS CHANGE AND BOY, DO I LOVE MY DIGITAL. FROM NOW TO AUGUST, YOU HAVE PLENTY OF TIME TO PRACTISE AND YOU'RE GOING TO LOVE THE FACT THAT THERE IS VERTUALY NO COST.NOT LIKE TRAIL AND ERROR WITH FILM.SO , GO OUT SHOOT, SHOOT ,SHOOT AND JUST TAKE TIME WITH YOUR CAMERA. NOW , MY SUGGESTION TO YOU IS THIS: BUY 1-2 1 GIG CARDS(IF YOU FEEL YOU WILL CONTINUE TO SHOOT WEDDINGS)MY TEAM AND MY SELF- USE THESE SO THAT MOST EVERYTHING IS ON ONE CARD.I PERSONALLY LIKE THE 1 GIG LEXAR DISK (40X AND UP; THIS MAKES THE CARD FASTER)BUT SANDISK WILL DUE-I LIKE THIER "EXTREME". NOW IF YOU NEED POSING LISTS EMAIL ME AND I'LL SEND YOU ONE,YOU MAY ALSO WANT TO GET SOME BOOKS OR CDS ON WEDDING POSES(TO SEE THEM DONE) MY NEW CD IS OUT AND YOU CAN SEE THEM IN MY GALLERY OR ON EBAY(GO TO CAMERAS &PHOTO, AND SEARCH POSING CD-THEY SHOULD COME UP WITH OTHERS THAT WILL HELP) ALSO DECIDE WHAT KIND OF EXTRA LIGHTING WILL BE NEEDED AND GET BACK TO US-EVERY ONE HERE IS MORE THEN WILLING TO HELP YOU . EXTRA LIGHT CAN BE PROVIDED AS SIMPLY AS EXTRA FLASHES ON TRIPODS(SLAVED) YOU CAN FIND USED AND NEW ON EBAY - AT PRICES THAT MAYBE A LITTLE BETTER THEN MOST. Thanks Debbie for your quick response. I have a 4GB memory card already which I love because I can shoot so many pictures. If you could send me a pose list that would be great up until this point I have focused mainly on nature photography which provides plenty of natural light so I am worried about lighting in the church as well as at the reception. I have an off camera flash for my Canon F-1 but not for my new camera, can you suggest anything? Thank You for your help
