Histogram Question My question is regarding Histograms. I am using the 20D and understand the general histogram concepts. to the left underexposed, to the right over exposed etc. My question is when looking at the histogram on the camera LCD, at times the graph is clearly in the middle, so seems properly exposed, however the peak in the middle shoots over the top of the LCD, so left and right its aligned ok, but it spikes high in the middle. Can anyone tell me what that indicates is anything? Thanks, Joe

yes and it was discussed in 1 of the articles. It appears to be the amount of pixels used not necessarily a problem with range of colors. Nikon had a great article on histograms also.

Here's a thorough and well-written run-down on histograms from a D20 user in England: http://www.cambridgeincolour.com/tutorials/histograms1.htm He has other great tutorials as well. Better Photo folks, please circulate this link around. It's that good!
