Light Meter

I recently bought a Sekonic L 308BII light meter, it all seems straight forward except for the 'dots' as the manual calls them, 'one fulll stop is shown by 9 bars. A single bar indicates one tenth stop'. I understand what a stop is but am unsure how I am meant to interpret this read out? On one of the examples three 'dots' are showing, 'shutter speed 1/125 and aparture F2.0+3/10 measured' It is the 3/10 part that I don't fully understand...

The 3/10 is 3/10's of a stop. In you example your recommended f-stop is 3/10's above f2.0. Or f2.0 + 1/3 stop. If your camera doesn't allow you to set it in thirds of a stop then I would suggest just going with f2.0. Just use whatever the nearest stop is.
