As many tips as you have on mountains and lakes

Any tips on for lakes and mountians? I hear that a polerizer is a must. What else? Any tricks on getting good depth?

  eric,
tripod, remote cable release, maybe a grad filter to knock down the sky a bit, early morning, late afternoon.
f-16 to f-22 will give you pretty good depth.and maybe 24-28mm lens.
