Telephoto lenses I'm the photo editor of my campus magazine and I need to purchase a new telephoto lens to shoot athletic events- we do everything from football to fencing. The magazine has a Nikon N-90 and an AF lens is a must. I would prefer to spend as little as is necessary to get a quality lens. If anyone has any suggestions of lenses and online places to purchase them at a reasonable price I would greatly appreciate it.

Go to promaster.com and check out some of their lens. They are not as expensive as your name brand lens, and they do the about the same job in quailty. You also get rebates when buying them. Then, you could go to cameracorner.com to purchase a lens you are interested in. Hope this helped~
