Photography Question

Bill Furniss

how do you get your photos discussed

I would like to know how to get members to comment on my photos. I see lots of comments under the dissussion area. But never see any of my photos dissussed. Can anyone tell me what I'm doing or not doing right.

Sometimes, you have to start the discussion yourself. Just started one for you.

There are thousands of photos here... many more photos than contributors or visitors probably.

I've started by commenting on other people's photos. They're here for the same reason you are... for comments, critique, and camraderie. If you give some comments, you will receive some as well.

  hey bill,
i took a look, you,ve got a great place to take pictures.get a circular polarizer.it'll make your skies less washed out,or more bluier.and some of your pictures have too much contrast, not sure if it's the sunlight or camera settings.the frost shot I like, except for the power lines.the electric meter on the old house.try a different angle.and if you're like me, a nice 400 to 500mm lens is on my list.yeah the money.take care and welcome.

  Hi Bill,
I am reading all the threads, as I get enough time today.

I spent time on your gallary, You are living in wonderful place, I guess.
(I hope so, you are also having the same taste of mine, only difference I live apart, some other corner).

1.Common Tem - Still, if It would have been closer, it must have given more details on bird's legs,beak..but It is a beatuful shot.

2.This way to wonder Land - I understand how tuff to bring in frame of flying bird. As I have tried, but didn't get success.

3.White crowned sparrow - Cool. It looks like, the bird is taking rest.

4.Still standing Tall - It looks like in my gallary "Corner of the Lake". The same impression I am getting.
It is good.

5.Great Blue Herron - Good Framing. I understand ......!

6.Painted Turtle - Lovely shot. Even though it was not fully framed or zoomed. It is really a good one.

Keep it up.

With regards
Siddhun.M.Karthik
