How to view FREE galleries only

Hi, I am new member as of yesterday ! Please can somebody tell me how to view other photographers' FREE galleries? I can access the Premium galleries, but when I check out the other options under 'galleries', I don't see the option to view FREE galleries. Thanks !! Viv

The easiest way is to find a thread to which they have responded and click on their gallery under their name.

Thanks for your response Kerry. Do you know if there is an other way of doing this? I am just wondering because under the section 'Galleries' and then 'free garlleries', it says that other people can easily access your gallery to see what kind of photos you take, but it doesn't seem quite so easy to me. Do you know another way perhaps?

I don't think that there is a listing anywhere. I think Kerry's way is the easiest and maybe only way.

Yes, Kerry's way would be the easiest way to view other people's galleries. When you view a person's gallery, and you like the image do post a comment about it, or if you have a comment or a suggestion put that down too. Many photographers appreciate what others think.

Ok, thanks everybody. I am just a bit confused, as the Premium galleries are extremely easy to find. It is just the free galleries that are not. Under the section 'galleries' - 'free g.', it states that all visitors can easily access your gallery. Accessing the free ones should also be made as easy as accessing the Premium....so that everybody gets exposure. Thanks again for your comments, anyway !! Viv

I pay for my premium gallery. If the free galleries got the same benefits as the paid galleries, betterphoto wouldn't be around very long, me thinks.

I agree, Bob. BetterPhoto is a business after all. They give a lot for free hoping to entice people to spend their money for upgrades and classes. Nothing wrong with that, just good advertising.

I agree, I started off as a free account. If I had to start off with paying for an account I would honestly be turned off by it. Only because I'm a student with not a lot of money or time. Then after a few months when I got the hang of this site and found out how valuable it is, price/information wise; I upgraded right away.

Ok fair enough. You guys have convinced me too ! I am just a bit cautious as a new member, because I don't know enough about Better Photo yet. I'm a little over-cautious when parting with any amount of cash over the internet, etc. as in the past I have been a bit too trusting - and learnt my lesson !! Thanks ! Viv

  Viviana,

I think you may have misunderstood the wording:

"Under the section 'galleries' - 'free g.', it states that all visitors can easily access your gallery"

When you set up your free gallery there is a link at the bottom on the page where you can name your gallery. It will then show you a link that you can give others (non-BP'ers) to look at YOUR gallery. I saw that in a thread a few weeks ago, but I can't remember where. If I see it I will direct you to it. I'm sure it explains the process better than I did. ;-) Marquee

Kerry is right in his first answer about clicking the gallery link in the thread.

Thanks so much for your response, Marquee. I will see if I can find it. I'll also get myself set up on a premium gallery too.

I agree Viviana, I'm confused too. Oh, well. I will have to figure it out myself. The wording is very misleading.

I guess you get what you pay for. Nothing is really free.

The photo contest is free, the QnA is free, reading the articles is free, accessing all the lovely shots that show up on this site is free. I think that's a pretty darn good deal, myself!
