Elizabeth, I thoroughly enjoyed looking through your gallery. You have the eye! Now, the cmaera--I don't have any specific info on the Fuji S5100, but I just did a quick read on the camera at www.dpreview.com. There are some downside issues with the camera; but, this is true with any camera. I highly recommend anyone thinking of a new camera first read the review on dpreview. They have the most in-depth analysis along with a sample gallery. Shop carefully and read the reviews and recommendations at this site. Obviously, price is a consideration. Best of everything. God bless you. John

Hi Elizabeth! I have the 5100's predecessor - the Fujifilm S5000. I truly love it! I just wish I had more megapixels (I'm at 3.2). Check out my gallery to see what I've been up to with it! I love it for macro! I love the 10x zoom! I love the multi-shots! It works great in auto but you can go fully manual when you are ready! What I did before buying it - I went on this BP site, searched for the camera review - and then clicked on "see photos taken by this camera" that is on the top right side of the page. Then I e-mailed several people who owned the 5000 and asked them what they truly thought of it. The in depth reviews by pros are great - but I don't understand have of what they are saying! I like hearing it from a regular person who is taking pictures with it every day! Also go into a camera store and hold it! Nothing quite like knowing if it fits well in your hands than trying it out! Good luck with your decision! I know it's a biggie! If you have any more questions feel free to ask!

Hi Diane!! Thanks for telling me about the camera... I am really glad that you like yours, because I was beginning to worry about the one I want. I really hope I can get it... and I hope it works well. Thanks again, and I will look at your gallery some other day... By His Grace and For His Glory, Elizabeth C.
