Size of Nikon D2x files D2x raw files are very large, 20 MB, for example. I wonder if anyone has experience dealing with this size file in PS or Nikon's Capture software. I've read that postprocessing is extremely slow in Capture. I'm about to purchase a G5 iMac with 2 GHz CPU and 1 or 2 GB of memory. I would like to hear from fellow photographers with a D2x who have experience dealing with raw or JPEG files either in PS and/or Capture. Thanks.

in raw mode @ 12 mp, I believe your ps file size will be about 35 mb to start. I have an older mac g4 with a 400mhz cpu, and have been processing 12 mp raw files for about three years now. my machine slows down a little when I work with 300+ mb files. 35 mb files are a drop in the bucket. michael h. cothran www.mhcphoto.net
