Photography Question

permission to sell this image


 
 
I happened to be walking around the block taking pictures in Brooklyn Heights while visiting my daughter's soon to be residence and came to Engine 205 Ladder 118 Fire Company. It looks to me that this image I took was actualy painted on the entrance door of the building. I do not remember seeing any signatures on the door as to who would of painted it if indeed that's what it is. Do I need to have any written permission to sell this image?
