Grainy shots from digital negatives to disc...

We were married in Jamaica last October. The photographer resort "photographer" used a digital camera, but provided us w/ negatives only (no disc). Having copied those negatives onto disc... they're quite grainy. While I am guessing that is to be expected, does anyone have any pointers, websites, links, etc. you might direct me to --> to help refine these "keepsake" shots? I'm happy to do my own research, I just don't have a jumping off point. I know this may be a wish and a prayer, but I thought it was worth a try. Many, many thanks in advance!

P.S. Can elaborate more, but thought I'd [try to] keep it short and sweet for now.

Okay, you stumped me. If he used a digital camera, how did he give you negatives?

If you do have actual negatives, have you tried taking them to a lab and having prints made from them?
