Circle of photography

I entered a contest at circle of photography and was notified that my photo was selected out of 8000+ photos for best assemetry and something else...cant remember right now but is that a scam too? They are not asking for any money and told me my photo will be published in their book, which is being sent free of charge. Any comments??? Suggestions?? Thanks, Michelle

Everybody has said don't send money if they do end up asking for it, I got the same letter but they asked me for $59 + shipping to get a copy of the manuscript, somebody said they don't print your photo unless you pay?

They are a scam too, you can not be entered into they're $5000 contest if you don't pay. Everyone got the same exact letter about assemetry...blah,blah blah. Don't pay these guys any money!

How do you find truly legitimite contests anymore? I write poetry & entered a contest once. Received a letter saying my poem was being published, then they proceeded to ask me for $30 to get the book. So... I assumed it was a scam & didn't send it. What a crock. I'd also like to enter photo contests, but there seems to be more illegal contests than legal ones. How sad!!!

It is sad...I'd be so glad to show my work for people and enter different contests but you never know if that's for real or they just try to get some money out of you! What a disappointment:(

I can't believe I fell for this scam. I'm usually extremely cautious. I paid them $57.00 on October 7, 2005 and have never received my photo book. Have any of you reported them to the Better Business Bureau? I want my $57 back!!
