Photography Question

Images not showing up on Recent Entries

I notice that a block of recently submitted contest entry photos are not showing up on the contest Recent Entries page, including one of mine. Can something be done about this?

Are you entering a photo from your gallery or a photo that has never been on the BP site before?
If it is from your gallery, all photos put on the BP site are given an id number and if you enter the photo from your gallery, it is placed in order it was received....so a photo from your gallery that you put in 2 days ago, with 2000 photos put on the site (classes, contest, Q&A, etc.) since yours, yours would fall way back numerically...did that make sense?
If it is a brand new photo, I have no idea.
Bob

bob, if you go back several pages from today entries, you will see about 15 images in a row that didn't upload (all from different people)....

Maybe BP had some downtime or something....I've seen this happen a lot lately!!!! If it were me, I'd be pretty frustrated too!

Yes, believe it or not, I understand as I have re-entered a March contest photo into the April contest and it slipped to the back. However, my photo is named and instead of the image on the recent entries page, there is a white box with a red "x" in it. There is a cluster of 14 photos starting with the photo currently at the bottom of page 7, recent entries, 30/page.

I hope someone can answer this question.

Thanks,
Robert

  Mellanie:

Thanks for the empathy. It is especially frustrating because I have a fair number of great faces and I have only been able to upload 2 of the last 7 days, due a lot to my learning Photoshop. If I enter a photo and it uploads in a pixelated manner, even if I delete it before I push the final "submit", the site thinks I have entered the contest when in fact I have not.
