legalitiy what is the legality of taking a picture in someones home if you have house keys but the photo is without their knowledge?

I'd use some common sense here. Reading "between-the-lines," my interpretation is that you don't want the person to know about the photo. Why? If there is no "problem" with the photo, why not just ask the person if you can use it for whatever reason you have in mind. Michael H. Cothran

I agree with Michael. If you were taking photos to give to the owners, than I see nothing wrong with it. If your plan is to display or to profit from the photos, then getting their permission seems like common sense.
