contest entry I am new to the site and I have a question. I entered the contest this morning and the image has not come up on the contest entries. Does it take awhile for picture to come up once you submit to the contest? I am sure it will eventually come up but just wondered how long it takes.

I am new to this site and I trying to learn. It been a couple hours since I put the image BEAUTIFUL in the contest. It comes up on my contest entries like it was submitted but it never came up in the gallery to show that is was an entry in the contest. I had the image already put in yesterday and I put the number of the image in the box to bring it up as an entry. Does anyone know how to fix it so it comes up on the contest gallery.

Hi, Each time you add a photo to this site, it's given and id number. Whether you put your photo in your gallery or the contest. When you enter a photo from your gallery (your "beautiful" was added to your gallery yesterday)into the contest by id number, it gets sorted into it's proper numerical slot by the original id number....it doesn't get a new number for the contest. Anyway, your photo, as of this minute is on page 4 of the "people" category. Hope this helps. Bob

Robert Thank you so much. I am new to the site and some of it still a little confusing to me. I did go to page four on the people category and (BEAUTIFUL) was there. But when I put the image in this morning into the contest I never saw it come up as an entry. It going to take me awhile to learn about the site. Robert, Thanks again for your response. Kerby

Kerby... I too have entered and not found the entry. I think it was because I didn't enter a catagory. When I tried again it worked. Not sure what happened. Debbie

Hi Debbie, Like I said I am new to this site. I did put the picture into my gallery the day before and put the picture number in to bring the contest entry up today. I am pretty sure I marked a catagory. But I did not see (Beautiful) come up until Robert wrote on the message board that it was on page 4 in the people catagory. I never did find it in the new contest entries on the main page. It going to take me awhile to figure everything out. Thanks for your reply, Debbie. Kerby

Kerby... I too am pretty new to this site. Go to betterphoto.com before you sign in it's off to the right under the picture. It's not very big. Feb. was the first time I entered into the contest. I'm not really even sure what they do with the winning photos???? I really enjoy looking at everyone pictures and reading the Q & A to learn more. It looks like there are a lot of professional photographers on this site. I get really good advise. Love it!! Debbie
