Best Circular Polarizer?

Any opinions on who makes the best circular polarizers for sizes 72mm and 86mm? Thanks in advance. Nevia

The B+W and Hoya are the brands I used and they are among the most expensive and best quality. However, all the manufacturers I saw only have polarizer with size up to 82mm. The 86mm lens you have, does it use the drop in type filter which requires a smaller diameter?

B&W is probably the world leader in quality filters. Hoya is OK, but certainly not a brand I would use in the same sentence with "best." Personally, if you want the best in optical quality, I would either buy B&W, and get the "thin" mount, or I would buy my Camera's brand if available. For instance if you own a Nikon, I would opt to buy a Nikon circular polarizer.
Heliopan, another German filter company is also quite superb, as is Singh-Ray. Rather than buying different sizes, buy the largest size you think you'll need, then buy step-down rings for your other smaller size lenses.
