Dust Ref Photo What is the Dust Ref Photo in the D-70. What does it do? How do you use it?

It's a proprietary feature that creates a file (----.NDF) that essentially maps the dust particles on the sensor. It is used by the Nikon Capture 4 software's Image Dust Off feature to digitally edit the dust from your photos. Described on pp. 166-167 of the D70 manual, and pp 162-165 of the Nikon Capture 4 manual.

After I posted that I took out my manual and read it. Nikon Capture 4 has to be purchased right? How much is it?What is the difference between Nikon View and Nikon Capture?
