Neck-Breaker

I love my old Topcon (it's actually a family heirloom, and it works brilliantly) but it is heavy and loves trying to break my neck. My husband has all Pentax gear, 2 PZ1p, a couple of Super As, a MX and assorted special attachments, bellows, ringflash, etc. You can see some of his work at http://www.powerup.com.au/~laltoff

He is a slow photographer, fussy about framing. I'll say, "take a photo of that" and he'll spend 5 minutes framing and then decide that the picture won't be worth taking. So I want to take my pictures too! His PZ1ps are too large for my hands, and they're too gee-whiz with all the gadgetry in them. I use an old camera; I don't believe that a camera needs a LCD display panel!

I have held a Pentax LX in my hot little hands, and it was a lovely comfortable camera with features that made sense.... We're going to Hong Kong in a week and I have put "LX" on my shopping list - maybe I'll be able to find a cheap used one there! Or would an MX be adequate. (My husband values his and I'm not allowed at it; it was his first "real" camera after his Box Brownie and despite years of use is in immaculate condition. My Topcon is immaculate too even though I've used it since I was 10.
