Looking for a Fisheye for Canon I have canon EOS cameras and I'm looking at the Canon 15mm Fisheye but it's pretty pricey. I was wondering if anyone had any info on the sigma 15mm fisheye? Thanks!

Sigma's 15mm f/2.8 EX diagonal Fisheye looks like a terrific lens and is ~$100 less than Canon's EF 15 f/2.8 diagonal Fisheye. The only potential problem is that some older copies (manufactured 2001 and prior) of this lens may not be compatible with the latest EOS bodies without returning it to Sigma to have its ROM chip updated. See http://photonotes.org/articles/beginner-faq/lenses.html#compatibilitythirdparty. The Sigma USA homepage is down at the moment, but there is information there about having such lenses updated. If you don't mind manual focus and stop-down metering, then for less than $200 there is the Zenitar-M 16mm f/2.8 diagonal fisheye. Russian-made for M-42 screw mounts, it is easily adapted to EOS mount and will work in Av and M modes (P also, depending on camera model). Because of the great depth of field, manual focus is generally not much of a handicap. Many will simply set an ultra-wide or fisheye lens at the hyperfocal.
