Harsh Contrast from Slide Scanner
Hello! I have a question on slide scanning. Right now I am using the slide scanners scattered amongst my college. They are obviously not great quality but for most pictures, they get the job done. The big problem why I don't trust them is because the contrast always seems to suffer. I have 3 pictures representing 3 different steps in my processing and trying to calm the contrast. I scanned the slide at the top dpi the scanner is capable of (3600) and 16 bit color. The smallest and lowest quality image is basically a smaller version of the actual scan. How can I calm this contrast and still keep image size large enough for a good 8x12? Thanks! (now to upload the images)
