Setting RAW+JPEG Canon 20D

I just recently purchased the Canon EOS 20D Camera. In the manual, page 46
are the image-recording Quality settings
but it doesn't show how to set the RAW+JPEG quality mode or maybe I am not understaning or overlooking the setting. I would appreciate any information relative to this problem.

I just figured this out for myself last night!! I was so excited. Your camera mode needs to be in the creative zone mode FIRST. Then press the menu and you'll discover the RAW + JPEG settings under quality. If it's in the basic mode, they don't show up. Good luck

Pat, I swith my camera on turn the dial mode to a creative mode(P, Tv, or Av)I observe all the image recording quality settings; specifically the RAWS
and RAW+
RAW+L
RAW+L
RAW+M
RAW+M
RAW+S
RAW+S
RAW
Now of all those RAW+ and RAW which one is RAW+JPEG or all the RAWS+ are RAW+JPEG?

All the RAW+ are RAW+ JPEG. The difference is the quality of JPEG. According to page 46. The RAW+L is the best quality JPEG Hope that makes sense.

Pat: Yes, the L means large JPEG while M means meadium size JPEG and S means small size JPEG.

Since you already have the full RAW file, do you really need a large JPEG as well? In-camera processing is longer; file size is much larger so your memory card will hold fewer images.

I use RAW+S for a RAW file plus a small JPEG for quick viewing in an image browser.

Having just purchased the Canon 20D myself, I was also confused on how to set the quality mode to RAW. I'm so glad I found this thread! Thanks all! :)
