out of focus??


 
 
While taking group pictures I am always having a problem with the picture being out of focus only on the lower left hand side. Any suggestions?

Bobbi Lephart 		  I am using the Nikon D70. This is a new camera to me and someone recently mentioned that they had heard of some issues. I received a response with a way to test whether it is the camera, lens, or just me. I am going to try this. Any other suggestions?

Angie M. Nemanic 		  I know this question is very old, but I did a search and you had a similar question that I have now.

I just purchased the D70S and it seems my photos are soft. The last batch of photos I took I used a tamron 28-300 ultra zoom lens. It is not a digital lens. I also use a Nikon 35-75 2.8 lens. After I downloaded my last group of photos into photoshop and magnified them to over 100% (200-400%) I notice the images aren't clear. If I blow them up past 100% is it typical they get soft? I feel that the images were shot that way, but I can't figure out why. It seems every photo is this way and I've never had so much of a problem before with blurred images.

You mentioned that there is a way to test if its me, camera or lens.

Any suggestions will help!

Justin G. 		  A few statements but they are basic generalizations. ultra zooms are generally a little softer, and not as tack sharp as primes and super high quality zooms. also most people say that almost all digital photos need to be sharpened a bit during post-processing. also you're zooming in very very close. unless you're shooting under perfect light, lower ISO's, use a tripod, sharp glass, perfect exposure and focus, etc, they'll be a tad soft.
