Taking the family portrait I want to take our family portrait using the local landscape. It is me,my husband,and my 17month old daughter. He has a Sony Cybershot DSC-f505. We want to take pictures at the local Red Rock Canyon park and a similar looking location out at Lake Mead. Both areas have rocky mountains with colors of reds,oranges,and browns. I have two questions. The first is when is the best time to take these pictures? Red Rock Canyon would be to the north and west of the photoghrapher. Lake Mead would be to the south and east of the the photographer. The second question is what colors of clothing do we wear? I am really interested in taking better pictures all around. I would really appreciate any help in this matter, so I can start with our portrait. Thank You,
