Photography Question

Getting big!

When I grow older, I want to be a photographer! I'm in 6th grade and have dreamed about being a photographer wehn I was seven. I want to make a lot of money but how will I? How do I let people know that i'm "here?"

The first thing you need to do is quit thinking about making a lot of money as a photographer. Do it because you want to and because you love it. Learn all you can learn, from books, courses and other photographers. Above all, practice what you have learned. Shoot a lot of photos of friends, relatives, anything and show the results to everyone who will look. When you get to high school, get on the yearbook staff as a photographer and continue to shoot. Your photos will be published and people will begin to notice. Shoot some really good photos and see if your parents bank will let you display them there. Just keep shooting and showing. When you get really good, and I believe you will because you have the desire, people will want to hire you to do things like parties, weddings, etc. Do a few for very little money. You will get noticed and, before long, many people will want to hire you. Before you know it, you will be making good money but you won't be shooting because you want to make a lot of money. You will be shooting for the love of it and the money will be a side benefit of doing something you love to do. By the way, why do you say you want to be a photographer when you get older? If you're shooting photos now, you already are one!
