First Digital SLR: help me choose

Hi,
I use a really old Olympus OM-1 SLR. But, I will someday go digital. Is there an SLR with controls as straight forward as an old SLR?

Thanks

Hi there, the two most popular entry-level D-SLRs on the market right now are the Nikon D70 and the Canon Digital Rebel (300D). I haven't tried the D70, but the Canon is really straightforward. All digicams will have additional controls specific to digital, though, like White Balance, etc... you can ignore them at first. I'd suggest going into a camera store and trying out some of the cameras. Hope that helps.

Nancy

  David -
To give you a straight forward answer to your question - "Is there an SLR with controls as straight forward as an old SLR?" The answer is NO.
Sorry.
By the way, your OM-1 is a real classic!
