How to Categorize Certain Photos There seems to be no category for still lifes (ex: antique wagon wheel) and images of cars, flags, local buildings, etc., unless they are edited in the Digital Darkroom or have a Special Effect applied. What should I do with photos such as the above?

elements of design is a good category. Or if it is of a specific detail of a wagon wheel or headlamp of a car, details & macro is a good category too! Hope this helps!

Mel is right. I like detail/macro for most of that stuff. There really isn't any place perfect for it.

I agree with Carolyn that there is not a perfect category of certain still object images. For example, I create origami animals (Japanese art of paper folding) and background scene to photograph. I enter some of these images in "elements of design" or "details and macros". But these images do not fit in either one of these categories... But I still like to share these images with some of my photo friends here at BP, and I continue to make them. The last image I made of cats & mice, I entered them in the "animals" category, knowing it is not certainly the right category... Winning in the contest is not my main object here but rather knowing that even just one of my photo friends enjoys viewing these images gives me satisfaction. Therefore, I have already won my purpose of creating and posting these images...

you might also check out the category Travel and Place I believe it's called. Some of your things might work in here. Check out some of the recent entries and see if it's what you think.
