Comparing Teleconverters I have a Minolta Maxxum and want to get a teleconverter for my 50-500 mm Sigma lense. My question is should I get the Sigma EX APO for Minolta AF 2x teleconverter for around $180 or is the much cheaper Quantaray 2X teleconverter just as good for $80? I was told Sigma made Quantaray by the Ritz but I'm not sold that it's the same. My guess is that I should stick with the Sigma. Thanks,

I would stick with the Sigma. Even if Sigma does make the Quantaray converter, it does not mean it is made to the same standards.
