I need Photoshop help PLEASE!

I have been burning/copying files to a disc to either keep or share. I am noticing that not only does it burn the edited file that I selected but the unedited ones as well. I thought that when I edit a picture and choose to replace it with the old that that is what it does. I don't want to give someone a cd that has the unedited pics as well as the edited. Does anyone have any ideas that can help me??? I am selecting only the files I want to copy so I thought that would be enough. thanks so much!!!!!

  Lisa,
Not sure, without knowing more about the software you are using to burn you’re CDs. Your problem could be software related. Please post the step-by-step procedure you use to burn your images. If I am not familiar with the software some else maybe. Here is another thought, when you finish with an image to its final form how do you designate that it is the final image. Also, are you creating two or three files with the same name, just saved in different formats. I have three files for each image, PSD, a TIFF, and JPEG. The PSD is a working files with all the layers attached. Tiff is a print file and the JPEG is used for email.

I use Nero and really use the Nero Express, which allows me to copy files or individual images. Right now, I am burning a DVD of my images. It will hold more than 4 GBs of information. I am burning five files. Each file has many images. Earlier tonight, I burned a CD for one of my clients. It has only six images. I selected these images from the files where they reside.
I look forward to your additional information.
Doug

  Hi Doug,
Thanks for the response. I will have to look and see what I am doing with these files. I guess the reason that I thought I was doing this right was that I am only having this problem recently... Is it possible for me to rename the final edited photo? When I look on the cd that I have burned I get IMG0018 and then IMG0018edited. Just as an example. Does it simply see IMG0018 and automatically include that in the burning process???? I thought I was getting pretty savvy on all this until now...haha. thanks and I will get back on the procedure..
