Nikon D-70 Verses Canon Digiatl Reble?

I have been reading so much about the Nikon D-70, and Canons Digital Reble. I would appreciate some feedback of what other photoraphers have to say. Of course I read the typical pros and cons of both Cameras which makes it hard to come up with a final decision. However, if I remember right, I read more possitive feedback about the Canon SLR Reble than the Nikon D-70. Which is better, a CCD sensor or CMOS sensor? I read that the lens that comes with the Nikon isn't that great. I also read somewhere that you can't view your photos on the LCD screen on the Canon...! What is the largest quality photo that can be printed by a 6 MP camera? If somebody out there would care to comment on my questions, I would sure appreciate it! Thank you much, Lani

After 3 months of using Rebel I shift to Nikon D70 for two reasons: 1st, the explosure system of D70 is RGB 3D mettering which was adapted from F5 the professional flagship camera of Nikon, which gives D70 more points on the professional side. 2nd, the body of D70 is more rigid and durable. I had enlarged the picture took with D70 up to 34 inch still has sharp edge and no purple beam, Rebel can enlarge up to 24 in. when bigger than this the purple beam occurs. (both with kit lens)

First of all, I like them both. That said, if I didn't already have canon lenses I might go for the Nikon.
What kinds of things do you take pictures of? I believe the Nikon can take something up to around 3 pics per second up to maybe 14 in a row? While the the Rebel is a little slower and can only shoot 4 in a row without having a full buffer that needs clearing.
I assume both will be able to enlarge to around the same size but if you're worried about enlarging, you can probably find a program that will let you cut down on digital noise and other things letting you enlarge just a little more. If you pick up a better lens other than the kit lens (as mentioned by Tom) you could probably get slightly sharper images. I like the newest canon lens that I bought for only $90. It's a fixed 50mm f1.8 so it's really clear since the elements don't need to move around much, plus it's great for low light photos and when you don't want to use flash.
Since the Nikon can write so many more images of very similar size so much faster to the card, that leads me to believe that the processor is better as well.
The Nikon does seem to be a lot most durable at a glance plus I hear that it has a magnesium alloy (?) body which will help that. It also looks more professional. If you like showing stuff off sometimes and you have the money, the D70 also costs a little more.
ISO settings, the D70 can't go down to 100, only 200, but the DigReb can go to 100.
Again, if you've used the EOS cameras or Rebel's before, then this Rebel would be easy to use as well since I have messed around with it before. I'm not sure how the Nikon is though. I have held a D70 and it does feel very solid.
Hope this helps as well! Maybe somebody else can write in who has actually used these two?
