  Dear Tammy:
Which brand(s) of slave triggers are you using, and can you describe the connections between the slave and the White Lightning? For example, are you connecting the two together with a cord, perhaps one with a 1/4 inch plug at one end, to make the White Lightning connection, and an AC style jack at the other end, to make the slave connection?
I ask because some older strobe systems, especially ones that used cords with AC style connectors, had polarized connections. It's possible that the slave trigger, if it has an AC style connection, may work normally plugged in one way, but fail if you flip the slave trigger 180 degrees and put the prongs into the cord the other way, even though the slave trigger fits into the cord either way. Does the slave come with instructions that warn of this problem?
There is also a remote possibility that some excess stray voltage is leaking onto the sync cord from your White Lightning. Food for thought...
