Anthony You are shooting under mercury vapor lights. They are red-orange in color to daylight film. Your eyes see the light as white. Change from daylight film to a tungsten film. It is balanced to the red part of the light spectrum. You will only be able to find it on line or at a pro camera store. If you can not find the tungsten film, then make sure you are off the basketball floor, if you are shooting from the stands the ref can not do much about it. I did a game last week and use flash and had no problems, just remember that you can use a shutter speed higher than 1/125 of a second. Please check your owner’s manual, most modern camera’s can not sync any higher than 1/125. Hope these ideas help. Good shooting, Doug

EOS 10D is a digital camera. Set the white balance to either Tungsten, or use the Custom setting. In the Basic Zone exposure modes (green box and icon settins) the camera uses Auto White Balance, so you'll have to shoot in P, Av, Tv, or M to use the Tungsten or Custom WB setting. The 10D's built-in flash will sync at any shutter speed up to 1/200. With an E-TTL accessory speedlight, such as the 420EX, 550EX or 580Ex, set to FP high speed flash sync it will sync at all shutter speeds.
