Minolta QTSi

I am thinking of buying a Minolta QTSi but am concerned about the fact that it decides everything for the user. In particular, can this camera take advantage of all aperture openings available on a given lens (wide angle thru zoom) or will some aperture openings go completely unused?

  Mark,
My opinion of photography is that it is usually an expression your own visions. My advice is don't buy equipment that will limit your ability to let others see what you envisioned or had in mind later. The more limited your control the more limited your photographic interests. Such as speed photos, candid portraits, and action photos where control means everything. Go for a camera with at least exposure choices, if possible. Shutter speed priority, aperture priority, manual exposure, and automatic exposure.

Try saving your money a little longer and going for the Minolta HTsi Plus. This will allow you to have complete manual control or, with a push of a button, you can go fully automatic. This should provide you with the flexability to learn and grow with your camera.
