Trouble starting my Nikon Coolscan LS30 film scann I have been using my Nikon Coolscan LS30 film scanner for 4 years without any problems. Now when I try to open it in Photoshop I get the error message-'The stage locking screw is still in place, please remove it'. The 2 locking screws were removed when I first had the scanner and have never been replaced. I have tried uninstall/reinstall to no avail. Does anyone have an idea to cure it?

Try disabling Norton AntiVirus (only while you are using the scanner).
