Uploading 35mm slide images What is the best and most expedient way to upload my 35mm slides to a "BetterPhotos.com" deluxe web page? Should I have a CD made when I develope my film or buy a film scanner and scan my own images? Thanks in advance for your answer.

Get a good scanner. That way you will have control over the outcome of your digitized versions, and you can be selective....scanning only the best images. A dedicated film scanner with at least 4000 dpi will produce great results.

Robert: Yes, you need to scan your slide to create a digital file. You certainly do not need an expensive (4000dpi) film scanner to do that. For low resolution scans, you can 1) Order scans from your slides at any photofinisher that uses a digital lab 2) Buy a flatbed scanner that includes a Film Adapter. A 2400dpi scanner would be the best bet. It won't give you superb scans, but should be fine for the purpose you mentioned. For example, see http://www.epson.com/cgi-bin/Store/ProductCategory.jsp?BV_UseBVCookie=yes&oid=-8172 Regards, Peter Burian
