Why no links for November Contest Finalistst STILL We now have December 16, and I still cannot see any links for the NOVEMBER contest finalists and winners.. I thought that betterphoto had been picked as one of the most user friendly sites!!! Greetings Mette V Jensen- am so tired of asking about the SAME thing...

Hi Mette! I know how it can get waiting to hear about the finalists... But you must try to imagine what a huge job it is to sift through 15,000 photos every month! I think I would rather they post a day or two later, instead of rushing through and possibly missing a great photo. BP is the friendliest site I've ever seen! They tried to reduce the number of photos we enter each month, which would have greatly affected the number of entries and the amount of work the judges have every month... When many people responded complaining that we still wanted one a day, they quickly changed the rule back... I think that is very accomodating and user-friendly... I am more than willing to give them a couple of hours or days grace if they are running late. Thanks again BP for all that you do! DDK

Well said, Diane! Not to mention the Thanksgiving holiday we have here in America in November. That usually slows things down in different work related areas. The company my husband works for gives 4 days off for that holiday. I'm just glad I don't have the job of choosing the winners. Whew!

None of you actually gave response to what I said! I also think BP is the best place for photographers, and I have no problem understanding the tremendous effort going into this contest. Also I have never had a problem with the finalists being released over time! And that is NOT what I am complaining about! So don't think that! I am complaining about the FACT that every single month it has been a problem that the finalist link hasn't been on the HOME page at the same time as the finalists are released! I am studying to be multimedia designer, and I KNOW that putting that one link on the page is real quick and very easy! It just has to be part of one's habit! It is NOT user-friendly that people month after month have had to ask again and again about the missing links! And it's quite frustrating that everytime I mention this problem, I don't receive any answer! I am just fighting for everybody's right to be able to see and comment on all the great pics every month!
PS: Gregory, do you ever have anything nice to say...

Sorry, Mette! I didn't think they had come out yet when you posted the question. I'm old and grey so I can't remember. I agree it would be nice to have that link displayed on home page as soon as they are announced. I like to think someone is just so busy they haven't gotten around to it yet. I might be missing something but the link to the finalists was definitely up yesterday on the home page... Maybe not the same minute or hour as the e-mails were sent out, but definitely within the first couple of hours... I do agree that it is frustrating when they don't post it - but this month they actually did... Mette when Mellanie answered your question - the link on the home page was already up. Congrats again to all the finalists and happy holidays and peace on earth!

I agree with Mette as far as placing the link to the finalist on the home page when they are announced. If you don't have a finalist, then it is next to impossible to find out who the finalists are.
