Photography Question

Inconsistent colors

Does anyone know why the colors in my photos look so different after uploading them to this sight? Looking at them in Nikon View or Photoshop the colors are crisp and bright but looking at them here they seem faded - I'm always dissapointed because that's not how I intended the shot to look. Is it something I'm doing and can it be fixed?
THANK YOU!

If you have them in a color space other than RGB, they may not appear as you wish them to. Under "Image", choose "Mode", then go down to "Convert to Profile". If your picture is not in sRGB, then convert it there before uploading to this site.

Thanks for responding Virginia! I went to "convert profile" as you suggested and it says "source space profile" is sRGB but "destination space profile" is 'working CMYK'. Should they BOTH be sRGB? And would it be possible to briefly explain the difference between source and destination? Also, in the list of options for changing these profiles, there are 5 or 6 different RGB options as well as 10's of others. How do I know which one to choose? Anything you can tell me would be greatly appreciated!
